Those CAs will have faster firing guns and their HE will take their toll on you, while Kronshtadt has laughable HE, AP that's useless against those Cruisers bow on, longer than average reload for Cruiser, and occasional bouts of Bad BB RNG Accuracy. have 27mm bows and will easily bounce Kronshtadt's paltry 305mm shells. DM, Prinz Eugen, Buffalo, Hipper, Baltimore, Hindenburg, etc. There are Tier VIII-X USN & German Cruisers with 27mm bows that can bounce up to 380mm AP. Just because you think you have a "Battleship in a Cruiser slot" doesn't mean your firepower isn't all that. Then the next salvo you're reminded, "Well, this definitely isn't 'Cruiser' accuracy" as the shells scatter all over the place.īe careful when fighting certain Cruisers. Even with ASM1 fitted, you will have back to back cases where one salvo is super accurate and you land lots of shells for punishing damage. The other thing is that the guns can troll you, the user, just as much as it does your opponent.
Even 380mm AP will penetrate for good damage. A common mistake with Kronshtadt is people really do think she's a "Battleship in a Cruiser Slot" but her armor is nothing at all like that. No, I don't put her in the same realm as Scharnhorst, because Scharnhorst has respectable armor and can bounce some stuff, except 406mm+. Kronshtadt's a really cool ship but it's not quite what people imagine her to be, as she rides that weird line between BBs & Cruisers.
